Sehaj Sethi is a writer/director and current student of the New York University Graduate Film Program.
For as long as she's been able to put pen to paper Sehaj has defined herself as a writer, and since 18 has devoted her life to pursuing a career as a filmmaker.
In 2004 Sehaj received a degree in English-Writing from Illinois Wesleyan University, where she helped lead the university film organization for four years. In that time she learned to organize 20 to 30 people crews for large-scale productions, and spear headed the annual student-run film festival. As a senior, her films and work with the organization were featured in the Illinois Wesleyan Magazine.
At NYU Sehaj has had the opportunity to work with extremely talented, likeminded filmmakers. Beyond acting as writer/director, she developed a new skill in producing and has worked as producer/production manager on several of her colleagues' films.
Through her undergraduate and graduate careers, Sehaj has worked on over 30 films and written/directed 7 shorts of her own. Her work has played at the Illinois Wesleyan Film Festival, The Future Filmmaker Festival (hosted by Chicago International Film Festival), the Queen's International Film Festival, and NYU's First Run Festival.
Currently Sehaj is finishing her 3rd year at NYU and developing her first feature.
